It is not recommended to park in any road or street within two miles of the town centre, as this may cause an obstruction for the emergency services. General Parking
The map shows the route to Marine Parade, the official coach parking area for Carnival night. The parking fee is £35 or £15, the proceeds of which go to the Carnival Charity Funds. This will be collected by official attendants.
Please use the coach parking area. Please remember that the object of the Carnival is to raise funds for charity, pay
prize monies to entries, and to provide an enjoyable evening for thousands of people. It also generates business for
you, the operator. Permit only parking North Somerset Council has granted permission for a limited amount of ‘On Route’ parking on the Promenade reserved strictly for permit holders only. These permits are only available in advance.
Application forms are obtainable from WsM Carnival Ltd at a cost of £40 for mini-buses of 16 seats or under and £110 for coaches over 17 seats. A partial refund may be claimed if the route is changed due to bad weather, and does not pass the permit area.
Parking in this restricted area is not permitted before 4pm, or until authorised by officials, after road closures. Permits must be displayed in a prominent position. Permits will allow parking in the general parking area at no extra charge. We have been given permission to park on the New Pedestrian Promenade. There is, however, conditions that any
vehicle with oil leaks will not be permitted on the Promenade and must carry absorbent matting to avoid contaminating the decorative surfaces. It is stressed that unless this is carried out vehicles will be refused entry on to this area. Compliance with this will ensure permission may be granted in subsequent years.
Permits are only available in advance from:
